Avtive fuel management systems

Has anyone had any experience with these? Is there any way to program the computer to not allow it to change from 8cyl to 4cyl? I have found a couple different things, but was curious to see if any of you gear heads and programmers have had any experience with them... Its my wifes 08 silverado 5.3. And I know I know......its a chevy..haha. Anyway any help would be great. Thanks

Why exactly do you NOT want it to save fuel again?

I'm pretty sure there is a way around it via tuning, but again i have to go back to my question.

Thanks for the input....It doesnt save any fuel. Her truck doesnt get any better then mine and i dont have it. Unless your vehicle switches to 4cyl at idle it doesnt make any sense to have it. thats the only time you arent getting any MPG's. I have an account to fullsizechevy too, but it seems like i get more helpful know how from here.
