problem with edge programmer

So I got my edge programmer about a month ago and it was working great at first. But now every once and a while it will just shut off randomly while I am driving and sometimes I can turn it back on by pressin the enter button but then other times it will just stay off and not come back on... Any idea what could be causing this?

The usual culprit is a battery going bad. The Edge needs full juice to function.

I thought so because when my engine isn't running and my truck is on the edge reads that my battery voltage is at 11.8 or 12 and I know its gotta be around 12.6 so maybe I need to invest in one do u know what voltage should be while engine is running

It should be charging at around 14.2 when engine is running. I would get the altenator checked as well.
