Gryphon/custom tunes

If a guy buys a used gryphon that has custom tunes can he delete the custom tunes and run the original canned tunes without having to send it to PHP ???

I think PHP can send it in an email, and then you would reload the tunes to your Gryphon. If the Gryphon has custom tunes on it, I'm pretty sure the canned tunes aren't on there anymore.

If the previous user didn't return the truck to stock before selling, you have some other issues to deal with as well.

Hopefully someone from PHP will chime in soon, they will be able to answer your question better.

Ya, supposedly it is unlocked but thats always the hard part about used... probably better off spending another $100 and getting a new one.

You will not have to send your Gryphon in to PHP to have the stock tunes restored. Bill Cohron at PHP can talk you through the "retuning" procedure and I'm pretty sure there's no charge.

Now if the unit is VIN locked, it's another story. You'll probably have to send it in and I believe there IS a charge.

Hope this helps.

Yes, we can do that; however, we would need to trace the serial number first. We've had a few people ask us to do thing for a Gryphon when they really had an Evolution in their hands. I know... creepy... but some people have tried it!

The hardware on a new Gryphon is warrantied for one year ; the warranty on a used Gryphon doesn't convey.
