Livewire Tuner

I just installed this tuner in my truck today and was wandering if the tuner always stays on when it is plugged in? Does it have a timer that turns the display off when the vehicle isn't running or will I have to unplug it each time I get out of the vehicle?

Doesn't it come with an Owner's Manual? I don't have one of these, but it's a pretty lame device if it has to be unplugged each time you turn the engine off. My guess is, it powers down automatically, but has a "keep alive" circuit that draws a small amount of power to retain your desired monitor settings.

Sure it comes with an owners manual, but it does not specify if it shuts down automatically or not. I suppose I could go plug it in and wait a while, but I don't have time to mess with it right now. Honestly the manual kind of sucks and the FAQ's on the website are very minimal.

Sorry, I wasn't really badmouthing either you or the programmer. I have a Gryphon, and it powers down right after I turn the ignition to OFF. I can't believe your's won't do the same.

I will test this tonight when I go into work. I was really hoping some folks that have this in their vehicle would chime in and some first hand experience. Thanks for replying Jack.

Well, when I actually leave mine i my truck, I turn the power off by pressing the wheel for a few secs. and it shuts off. If you want the blinking LED to turn off, you can do that too from the device settings menu.

Thanks for the information Drk. Pushing the wheel in for 3 seconds did work for me.
