Which PHP custom tune gets used daily?
I have been using my stock tunes from PHP for a week now,and like many users I find that I prefer the towing tune for around town daily driving. I'm curious about which custom tune people settle in on. Thanks.
By stock, do you mean the canned tunes? I use an 87 Performance tune.

I ran the canned tow tune too, until I got my custom tunes. Now I use a custom tow tune (duh) when towing
and a custom 87 economy tune otherwise.

The first one was about a week. The second was closer to a month. It really seems to depend on Bill's workload. He got really busy when gas prices shot up a while back. Sort of looks like things have settled down now until the next crisis. I imagine he could give you an estimate if you asked.
But, it really doesn't matter much about the wait. The driving experience will be so much better with even the "canned" tunes that you won't be unhappy and, you'll enjoy the information the Gryphon give you through its gauges.

oh yeah i know im using the towing canned tune right now for daily driving and really can tell a difference however when i speed up to about 40 then slightly step on the break it really downshifts a gear hard but i assume thats because its on the tow tune
just waiting for my 87 performance :-)
just waiting for my 87 performance :-)
87 performance all the time! (unless I tow more than 3500 lbs)
Up here in Canada our 87 octane is pretty darn good. I can even bump timing ahead on 87. The truck performs excellent and fuel economy is excellent.
There is just no reason to run anything else! My 91 performance would not be worth running for the extra cost of gas.
