SCT VMP Tune - Options?

I have the SCT X3 and VMP tunes. When updating the PCM the X3 asks if you want to change any of the User Adjustable Options. I was playing it safe and selected No, but is there anything in there I should be changing? When I purchased the tunes I added all the information requested about my tire size, gear ratio and all of that, so I would assume that it is pre-set to those specs. Any advice on this?

In this screen is where you can alter your shift pressure for more kick, timing adjustments, etc. I changed the shift pressures on mine for a firmer shift and adjusted some of the timing to get rid of some pinging.

Yeah, it would be nice if the SCT would tell you the current setting in there. I have 3:55 gears, but it will just say "Stock" on the menu, but the truck can come stock from the factory with different gears. So unless you pick something each time your not really sure.

Yeah...you're just supposed to trust your tune writer. I trust no-one so I pick my ratio every time I flash between tunes.

I have gone through the options before, and noticed that all my shift pressures were at 0. Is this because the shift pressures are already written into the tune?

That's the case for Gryphon/Edge. Can't tell you anything about the other programmers but it would be a reasonable approach.

I believe that is the case. When I got my VMP tune and looked at the gear ratio it said stock although Justin built my tunes knowing I had 4.56 gears installed. I asked about this and he said that I didn't need to make the adjustment myself because the tunes were written for 4.56 gears. However, as I said above I always make the adjustment myself anyways, never hurts to be on the safe side. I also have to make the adjustments when I load my Troyer tunes because I did have stock gears when those tunes were written.

Generally, you don't need to make any changes when asked to make on device adjustments, now with the trucks and the different factory gear options, and many of you running aftermarket gears and tires, that does not always hold true.

The sct on device adjustments are made very basic, because the actual adjustments I make in the PCM are much more complex, which is why most settings show 0 and you can adjust up or down slightly. That is one of my complaints though, the tuner could at least show the current gear ratio and tire size, so you don't have to go and set it each time you flash.
