INterested in chipping

so i've read back all the pages on in this forum, and could not find what i was looking for.

I did read something that concerns me though.

So i've added a S&B Air intake, headers, and an exhaust system. I was thinking about chipping it...

but in one of the post said, the 98s do not have a computer that is worth chipping...

is this true? I have a 98 4.6. I emailed Justin ( i think his name was) about a custom tune, and have not heard back.

Will a stock chip do anything for me, or even be worth it???

The 98 4.6L is certainly worth spending a few bucks on for a chip or a programmer. There are more than reasonable gains, especially when you look at the mods you have on your vehicle.

Justin can certainly get you some programming to work with your modifications. We can also provide a chip or programmer that will help fit your needs.

Hope this helps.

Another poster has noted he's not responding quickly. Perhaps something has come up for him that is taking all of his attention. I'm sure you can think of situations where YOU would be "out of touch".

From everything I've read on these threads, Justin is a good guy who will do right by you. If you can't wait, give Bill (ASEMechanic) a call. He said he could help you out too (and I know he can).
