Anyone else have this problem with a Gryphon

I've had my custom tunes for a few months now and have noticed one nasty bug. I'm getting a very weird throttle tip in, surging sensation, from 50-75 mph. If you have ever drove a supercharged blow-through MAF mustang, you most likely know what I am talking about.

I e-mailed bill a week or two ago and he said he was working on the fix.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has ran into a similar issue?

Can't say I've felt that either.

If you can, drop me an e-mail at corey@phptune.com to remind Billy about the problem. He's always working on so many things at once -- it's possible that it's taken a back burner; I don't know that, but usually, he can get problems fixed sooner than that. I'll get him back on it.

the only surge I've noticed so far is when the ac compressor kicks in

my rpm's shoot up past 800, then will drop to about 560

Just another update.

My truck has gotten soo bad that I had to switch my gryphon to the canned shift only tune. I can't drive my truck in my tow or performance tune without it having a serious back and forth bucking issue.

I sure hope the update Bill is working on will fix this problem.

Chris,

I don't know where the breakdown is (obviously on my end somewhere), but over the last several weeks I applied two updates for your files but hadn't heard back if the condition had improved, worsened, or anything.

The last contact I had from you was an e-mail on 11/05 and wasn't even to me but came through Corey. I don't begrudge anyone the right to post the opinions and experiences (both positive and negative), but it would have been nice to get a phone call or something letting me know where we were with the issue. I want to help, but help me out a little, too.

If you could, please let me know if you got either or both of the updates so I know where to go from here.

Take care and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the lightning fast reply. We, or should probably say I, must have a problem with e-mail coming and going. I sent two e-mails to you before I got a hold of Corey. I just figured you were busy working and I didn't want to bug you on the phone with what I felt was kind of small problem. I guess I also didn't know e-mails were not making it to their destination.

As for the two updates you wrote, I never got the e-mail about them. I'm still running on the original custom tune file you setup.

Let me know if you rather have me give you a ring with this issue vs e-mail. Seems like our e-mails just are not making their destinations very well.

Thanks
-Chris

Give him a call and explain to him your problem. So many thing can be misunderstood via e-mail a call will be much better.

Chris,

Please download the latest update in Pegasus and let me know if this improves the issues. We'll be available tomorrow if you want to chat.

Take care.

Thanks Bill,

I will give you a call tomorrow. I'm not sure if I need to update my calibration files or run the target updater.

Thanks and have a great turkey day!!!
