Connecting the Edge to the computer help. :(

Just received it a few days ago from PHP and since it wasn't updated with the mpg calculator I decided to download php's software from their site and try to get the unit to run with it but all I got was a red screen on the unit and the program saying it was disconnect.....can you help me?

I am running windows vista if that has anything to do with. I cant seem to find a guide on here on how to do this.

Go back to the PHP website and download the userguide for Pegasus. You'll find it here: http://dygytalworld.ehost-services13...Downloads.html While you're at it, make sure you have the latest version of Pegasus, which is on this page too.

On page 5 of the userguide, you'll find what you have to do to make things work in Vista. I use XP, so I can't comment on whether this works or not, but I imagine it does and it looks pretty simple.

You're welcome! Let us know if it works. This Vista problem has been around for a while and I'll be interested to know if Bill resolved it.

Pegasus works on all Vista EXCEPT Vista 64 Bit. This is because the USB drivers provided by the hardware manufacturer are designed for a 32 bit OS.

I've not been able to get any reliable information on whether or not there will be any compatible 64 bit drivers. Sorry guys.

Anyway EdgeSpeeder, if you still have problems with the software give us a call tomorrow and I'll be happy to walk you through it. Shouldn't take but a few minutes to get you going.

Take care.
