So you can race Civics? If you want power, mpg goes down, no way around it.

Get a custom tune from Troyer, VMP or any other of the custom tuners that float around this forum.

I think that you need to think about what you are going to be doing with the truck, towing, drag racing, or just daily driving. The other thing to look at is what mods do you have on the truck currently and what are you going to do to it down the road. Also do you self a favor do research before you jump in head first into this because this is not a cheap mod you are about to do. I spent about 2 months reading and researching before I pulled the trigger on my tuner and intake witch at the time was just shy of $700.

Exactly but with the Xcal3 unit you can get a tune from most of the tuning gurus, and an cai of your choice.

This is very true. But you want to take it all into consideration before you spend a bunch of hard earned coin on something and not have it be what you want and not do what you want it to do.

I agree but my problem is I want one thing and then 6 months later I want something else so my truck keeps on changing. I wish I didnt care about mods and a truck was just a vehicle to get me from point A to point B. At least with the Xcal3 or 2 you can change your tunes as often as you want and even get a tune from Troyer,VMP and Gryphon all on one tuner.

I understand what you are saying because there is more that I want to do to my truck like regear to 4.56 because of my tires. But I dont feel like spending the money on gears and then have the tunes rewriten to accomadate the new gears.

To gain more power at the wheels, reduce parasitic loss. First, install e-fan. Then the underdrive pulley. Followed by losing the fat chick.

You dont have to, when you load your tune you select options and change your gear size. No new tune needed.
