Quick question

Quick question

i am lookin to put a jlt air intake in my 2006 f150 5.4 HAS ANYONE EVER PUT ONE IN IT SAYS IT WILL GIVE 30 HP AND 50 LBS TORQUE??
i think im going to i need a power programmer to install it does any body know where i can get one for cheap or hopefully borrow somebodies cuz i dont think ill use it more then once
im from the beginning of the NJ shore Monmouth county

You need custom tunes, no if ands or buts.

If you can find an unlocked x2 for cheap, you can buy a single tune. Should be anywhere from 200-250 for x2+tune. At WOT the JLT intake runs 14.5:1 where it should be at 12.5:1, so you may be losing power instead of gaining.

The programmer adjusts the way your truck runs, accounting for the additional air flow. Your truck is tuned for the stock intake right now. The custom tune will reprogam it so it knows your getting all the extra air. Basically your new CAI won't do you much good without it.

The JLT REQUIRES a tune. It's not a you're better off with one, it's a must have with the JLT. The power figures that they give for the JLT is also with the cold air intake and the tune ...
