What chip can

be mounted on the dash like the edge chip? i like how the edge chip is right there at hands reach and I do not have to deal with unplugging it and such. Also it has a display reading on it. So what other chips besides edge are like this? Also is there one that unleashes more power? I have a flowmaster 40 SI/DO going to switch to a spintech muffler dumped and I am going to be getting a S&B intake as well.

None; you eat chips.

If you are talking about flash programmers... the SCT Livewire, but it doesn't have a special mount or anything.

Sorry about the whole chip thing. As I mostly do upgrads on friends diesels and such so we call them that. Alright so on the programmers I know custom tunes are the best on anything. However I just want a little something extra as I am not looking to do anything dumb with it. Just some extra power when passing people while towing and beating them dran rice rockets! Looked and do not like the Hypertech. So that leaves the SCT yet no way to mount it so that leaves the Gryphon and Edge out of those two which one is better? Thanks for all your help!

Have you installed a CAI? if so, grab the gryphon because you should have a custom tune made for that. the edge will probably work otherwise. On a side note, my 08 is completely stock and I'm still getting Gryphon tunes wrote for it....Whatever you choose, enjoy it.

SCT makes the Livewire which has a display similar to the Edge and can be custom tuned.

VMP and Troyer both are great tuners. VMP is my personal pick and I've never been disappointed. VMP's also got a much better turn around time. The tuner can be set and than left or if you want to change tunes than you just change the tune and you're done. It's easy stuff.

based on what you have said so far.......I would just recommend getting a Gryphon right from the get-go.
You can get custom tunes right away......and get new tunes if need be (if you add an intake or other additional mods). It will also satisfy your need for a nice looking unit mounted on your dash that looks impressive and matches the rest of your interior (this was also a desire I had). Which programmer/custom tunes will give you the most ponies?........Troyer,VMP, Gryphon........I'd say that is splitting hairs. I expect they are all very close and equally impressive!

So to get the best tune I need to get a SCT tuner which would be the SCT Livewire Flasher and this will yield me the most power? Than i decide on what company i want to have make my custom tunes. Is this correct? Well if all are + or -1 hp than i would just get the edge with the Gryphon tune.
