HyperTech Max Energy

Anybody out there have this unit. I have an '07 F150 STX 4X4 w/ 4.6L Auto.
I was wondering what settings you have installed that works best.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, i have the max energy tuner for my 03 it its a nice unit and easy to program and has some nice options, i mainly bough it to change my speedo so it was correct, it has 2 tune options for 87 and 93 octane and has a code reader built into it to check for dtc's.
as far as performance it may have gained a few hp but nothing i felt. hope this helps ya.

Why not go with custom tunes? It will blow the canned tunes of the "Hypertech Max Energy" out of the water ...

I have an '05 STX 4x4 with the 4.6. The custom tunes make it feel like a whole new truck.

I ran canned tunes while waiting for my custom tunes, and they helped some, but nothing, absolutely nothing like the custom tunes.

I know that a custom tune is much better. i had my mustang and camaro custom tuned, this is not a race truck for me, just wanted a little something and something to adjust my tire size and mabye help out with a few extra hp, the 32x10.5's made the truck not as fast since i have 3.31 gears it is what it is, i got out of the performace cars because of investing to much money i dont want to start over with the truck, little **** is ok but nothing major.

I have an 04 F150 with the 3v 5.4! I purchased the Max Energy for my truck back in April and have bee happy with mine so far! The 87 tune give's a decent increase in power but the 91 tune is where you will feel the most gain but it seems to move the peak power further into the rpm's though! Like Thumper said the custom tunes are better then canned tune's and cost about the same but you have a waiting period though which isn't but a couple week's! The reason I chose not to get custom tune's is because I usually don't keep my vehicle's for a long period of time and the custom tune's are only useable on the vehicle their purchased for and I don't want to hassle with trying to sell the programmer or getting it changed to my new truck when I get another one when I could just put my old programmer on ebay and sell it within a couple day's!

Actually ... If you're buying a Xcal2 or Xcal3 and get another vehicle with a ODBII port, all you would have to do is buy new tunes. The programmer would still work ...
