Smile VMP Tunes Feedback

Guys,

I received a custom tune file from VMP Tuning (87 Tow) and it really woke up my truck! Justin does one hell of a job!

Do any of you guys have the 87 Performance and 87 Tow tunes?

Is there a noticeable difference between the two?

I am deciding whether the 87 performance tune is worth it. If anyone has both tunes, please let me know if you noticed any significant increases.

Also, if any of you guys have the 93 performance tune, can you light up the rear wheels with it?

Thanks!

I'd say there is enough of a difference to get the performance tune. I mean if you're not towing anything than why not run a performance tune. Have you thought about getting a 93 octane performance tune? I understand fuel prices are more expensive. However, you'll end up getting better mileage with 93 octane. Usually it ends up becoming a wash, or close enough to warrant it. I'd rather pay another $3-5 every fill up for more power !!

Nasty,

Were you able to chirp or smoke the rear wheels with the 87 perf tune? My tow tune just about does it, but it comes up a little short. I tow my ski boat maybe 10-15 times during the summer so it makes sense to go with a 87 perf tune.

Thanks for the feedback!

I could spin the tires from a dead stop but I did have 4.88s and 37" tires.
