i would personally get a programmer. thats what i did, but its too soon to talk improvements.

you will pay almost as much for a chip as a will a xcal 3 w/ 3 custom tunes from troyer or VMP.

Aw heck Thumper! You can get an SLR chip that's guaranteed to give you 6+ mpg and 50+ hp. Now do the math: if you get two of them, you'd save 12+ mpg and if you get three, you'll probably start "making" gas!

With results like that, who'd want a mere programmer?

im sure they have a chip somewhere. i myself have never seen, or heard of a chip for the 4.2. if there is one, only a VERY select few know about it.

I'm pretty sure that even the 4.2L in the 2004+ does not use a chip, just a programmer.

Oh, you can, with the "edit" option. But it's better to just "fess up"! Good on you!

(You could still point out that the SLR chip fits EVERY F150 gasoline engine from 1990 to 2008 without ANY modifications! What an amazing piece of engineering! And all for just $69 and some change - does the price say anything to you?)

I know, I should just let it go.... But roaches like this come out of the woodwork every time there's a jump in gas prices.

i'll admit, i totally forgot about the edit button. o well. that is my one "freebie"...

if i had about $4k, i would go buy that SLR chip........$69 for the chip, and the other $3,931 would go towards a new engine/electronics!

dirt bags......
