I updated my Edge yesterday (My last update was in January) with the Fusion software, and then ran the Lightning software to restore my custom splash screen.

So far I have noticed:

• In AMPG and IMPG when you hit 30MPG it says "30+" rather than "30".
• When you increment/decrement a value by holding the button down, it changes real fast.
• Added display option of "COMM GEAR".

In the custom section there are 2 new parts:

• Added lock in/out values (?) for 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 and 4-3, 3-2, 2-1.
• Added new shift point adjustments for 4-3, 3-2 and 2-1.

I use the shift point adjustment to add +2 to 1-2, +5 to 2-3 and +10 to 3-4. I *think* this lets the motor (4.6L) rev out a bit before picking the next gear. The truck feels faster, the mileage hasn't decreased and it doesn't lock into OD around town at 35MPH like it used to.

So, the questions are:

• How would I tune the lock in/out values? What are they? There is no lockout in 1st or 2nd gear anyways, right?
• How should I program the shift points for 4-3, 3-2 and 2-1? I want the truck to engine brake on hills. Right now if I go between 5-10MPH over whatever the cruise is set for (40MPH+) it will downshift to 3rd, which is nice.

Just confused, as usual.

 

The in/out values, would that be that they let you customize when the torque converter locks and unlocks??? That would be a rather cool setting!!!

 

What is the comm gear display and what does it mean when it shows a little lock below it?
