Ok the main reason I started this was, I have a friend that took his F250 to body shop and had his edge in the armrest jockey box and his tune was set to stock.
A couple of days after he picked up his truck he was trying to install his tune and it would not work so he called edge and gave them the run down of what was wrong and it was determined that there was another vin locked in the tuner. So my buddy called the body shop to see WTF and everyone said they knew nothing. He then called edge back and they had him bring it down to them and they unlocked it (there local) Then he went back to the body shop with the vin # in his hand and found the owner and told him the problem come to find out it was the owners son. He was snooping though the truck found the tuner and used it. What a D*@k

So the long and short don't leve it in you truck when your leaving you vehicle somewhere
Or at least have it vin locked

Thats one of the resons I thought the jack compartment would be a good place to hide it

Also I want to leave it in the truck just in case I have my street tune in and need to haul a trailer for a buddy that I didn't plan on when I left the hose

Alon@ModBargains,
thats sounds interesting what do they look like?

01lightingsuper,
so what was your buddies truck in the body shop for?
Was it insurance work? or personal?
If it was a shop recomended by your buddies ins. i would report them to the insurance company, and if it was personal work i would report them to the BBB.. thats flat out stealing.. because in order for the tuner to have another VIN it would have physically left his truck and used in soemone elses. just my opinion??
when your vehicle is a shops hands its up to them to make you feel confident with their services!

I pop off the seat bottom of my middle '20' seat (40-20-40 bench seat) and there is a nice little area to store stuff under there. Out of site and I dont think many thieves would think to look there.

How do you pop of the seat bottom? I've got the 40-20-40 in my Supercrew and have wondered about the area under the seat. Thought about taking it out and doing some cutting/fab work to get a hinged door under the front of it.

Thump, my X3 came from Justin, didn't have the cover in with it.

I'd also be interested in getting one of them.
