Fuel Catalyst

I tried to search the forums, and look through any products already listed on here, but couldn't come up with anything. Does anyone have any experience with fuel catalyst. I've been reading a lot about them, but havn't found any independent reports that convince me they actually increase fuel economy. Any advice at all would be helpful. Thank you
Ryan

Here is one website that I was looking at:

Sort of reminds me of those "magnets" you were supposed to clamp on to your fuel line and, another kind of catalytic insert we saw back in the 70s (about the time of the oil embargo, wasn't it?) that naturally did nothing except to move money out of our wallets.

Nice web page though! They've put some real thought into how to get you to buy this thing!

In spite of their "double-talk" in the FAQ:

"Why don’t the OEMs like GM, Chrysler, Ford, Cat., Yamaha, Suzuki, Detroit, etc. implement the Fitch Fuel Catalyst on cars or machines right from the assembly line?

The OEMs don’t typically add parts to the assembly line unless it saves them money or are required to add because of specific regulations. OEMS must meet certain standards set forth by the EPA and other regulatory organizations. When determining MPG window sticker numbers, the EPA requires the automotive OEMs to test on certified fuel such as Indolene. These purest certified fuels are too expensive to mass produce and are NOT equivalent to what consumers purchase at the pump."

I have to really believe that Detroit WOULD use this device if they could honestly claim it is working. These are companies that are seeing record losses and having to shut down product lines again! Come on, they would NOT do that if there were such an easy fix!

i agree...just a few days ago on the news they said that ford makes like 8 grand on every f-150 they sell and only like 700 some odd dollars on some ford car (focus, fusion something i can't remember)...i still believe that ford could easily produce a more efficient vehicle than they do, but i don't believe there are many "quick fixes" for more mpg out there
