You really should have done a little research before buying. You do not want to run a CAI on the Edge canned tunes. Those programs are for a stock intake. You need custom tunes for a CAI or you will run lean.

Love my Edge

I have the evolution and love it. I have it set to level 2 and have not had any problems running 87. Engine temp has not gone over 198 and I love the change in shifting.
Tip, if you have a blown cigarette lighter fuse, the unit will not power up.

so should i just skip the CAI for now? what about a drop in? i never found anything about people running lean because of having a CAI and edge. I did see some stuff about running lean with custom settings on the edge.

You will be at risk of running lean with any CAI other than a stock one while running Edge tunes. The only setting that would affect a lean situation would be the timing. There are some that have not had problems running the 3" AF1, but I would not risk it.

Here is just one of many threads I got when I did an advanced search on "Edge and CAI". Then do an advanced search on "Edge running lean"

most people have explained to me that a CAI has minimal gains for the amount spent on them.
unfortunately i was(am) in a situation where i have an edge and CAI and could't return either. so that left me here! waiting for the highly recomended gryphon custom tunes! luckily PHP offers a edge evo upgrade to gryphon..
I'm trying not to set my expectations to high for the custom tune, that way I'll be more impressed..

What's the approx cost of the Edge Evo to Gryphon upgrade from PHP? I've got a stock '08 scab w/ a 4.6.

I would like to put a CAI on in the near future and would upgrade the Edge at that time, provided I could see a real difference. If there is no benefit should I forgo the CAI?

for the amount of money spent on a CAI you will see minimal performance gains.
IMHO... save your money..
but I may change my opinion after receiving my custom tunes from PHP to make my CAI work with my gryphon?
