Question 87, 89, or 91 Octane

I was looking at getting some tunes (towing, performance, & aggressive mileage) from Justin at VMP and wanted to know which octane level to get. I know that 91 would be best but how much better is it than 87 or 89, are we talking a night n' day difference or just a slight one?

Let me suggest a high octane performance tune for fun, a lower octane perf or economy tune, and a lower octane tow tune. Definately get a towing tune if you tow or plan to do any towing in the future. I towed a fully loaded 6x12' trailer, not sure of the total weight, but it was heavy enough to sag the rear springs an inch or so. Pulled for 200 miles averaging 14.5 mpg for the trip. I was on an 89 octane tow tune. my tunes are 89 perf, 89 tow, and 93 perf.
