Towing tuner.

With out going custom, What programer gets the vote for best towing? I'm happy enough with the evolution on my 01 and would like to get one for the 07. Have they changed much in 6 years?

Im just had my edge changed into a gryphon and waiting for custom tunes. But the edge towing tune is pretty good. I tow my dads boat occasionally its 6000lbs and without the tune i felt like my truck struggled to get up to speed and hills. With the edge towing tune it made a huge difference. I could accelerate at normal speed without feeling like i was going to break something, it gave it alot of lower RPM grunt. Also the torque converter would stay locked up alot better. I hope the custom tunes are even better. Hope this helps

Set on level 2 my Edge does a good job towing, even with the 35's. Also getting 16 to 17mpg in mixed driving running 87 octane. Suprising for a large truck.

Depending on your personal preferences, a custom tune is the way to go, things can be set up to your liking. Such as very easy downshifts, or a trans program that tends to stay in gear and keep the converter locked at high load.
