First off let me say the PHP was great, I had a lil trouble getting it ordered but that was all my fault ha...I recieved my gryphon yesterday and installed it, but i only put on 6 miles so i can't say much for the performance yet...anywayz my questions are

1.) I ordered one custom tune with the programmer, Is it already on the gryphon??

2.) How do i prove to my friends that I have a gryphon? and not one of their edges??

1.) Probably not - PHP ships you a Gryphon with 3 canned tunes so you can enjoy it while you wait for your custom work.

2.) Your Gryphon is all black for starters, but anyone can paint an Edge the same. The only other unique feature is the Gryphon logo on startup. Other than that, your stock Gryphon is the same as a stock Edge....until your tunes come.

 

mine is gray and says edge products on the left and on start up it says evolution

 

Once you load a custom tune in it, the startup logo will be a Gryphon.

The grey Edge case puzzles me though. The deal PHP has with Edge is that they recase the device so that Edge can't be shutdown for violating CARB regulations. What you got sounds like a mistake and you should contact PHP right away. They'll make it right!
