whats the deal?

Ive got a 2002 f150 reg cab flareside. 5.4 Performance wise I have a K&N cai, diablo tuner, and dual flowmasters. I know that the flowmasters decrese power but is it that much. I have 285/70/16 dc mud countrys and my power seems pretty low even with the tires, any advice for exhaust and tuner options let me know. thanks, Matt

I have heard about the xcal 3 and 2 but I am not familiar with it. Would going with glass packs or some other free flow muffler with the xcal do me a lot of good?

Go with some Magnaflow mufflers or Dynomax bullets. Throw a H Pipe on it. Get a custom tuned Xcal2 from www.VMPTuning.com. You'll be good to go.

No they are not glass packs. They are straight thru muffler designs.

The Xcal needs to be tuned by a custom tuner like VMP, Troyer, etc to adjust for the CAI.

straight pipes will net a loss in power. The flowmasters are said to decrease low end torque, but its very minimal, on a few HP difference. Prolly not worth the several hundred dollars to change exhausts just to net 2-3 HP.

Your best option, like thumper said, is a custom tune.
