Gryphon Waiting at home for me!!!

Well, i just checked the UPS tracking, and it just told me that my Gryphon has now been delivered. I had a bunch of stuff to do tonight, but it looks like that is all gonna get pushed out so i can streak home after work and get that little box installed as fast as possible!! i've already got the s&b cai, and the exhaust on. so i cant wait to see how bill's custom tunes tie it all together!!

Both Bill and Corey were unbelievably great to talk to on the phone, and answered all my seemingly idiotic questions and were extremely paitent and pleasant. Bills estimated time was right on almost to the day, which was less then 2 weeks from the first time i talked to him. with all that they have had going on lately, that is a great turn around time. So hats off to the two of them over at power hungry performance, and i hope and pray that nothing but peace and prosperity are coming your way

but as for now, 3:30 cant get here soon enough.....

Oh the pain! The agony!.........

There I was, in the living room.....and I saw it....The Big Brown Truck pull up! I run, to greet the driver with a grin ear to ear!

And then I got the bad news. He said "your box shows to be on here, but it isnt. Maybe another driver has it." AAAAaaaagghhhhhhh. Depressed and saddened I return to my slumber on the couch and continue to wait for the next truck.

Ctrl@ltDel you made me LMAO. I know your pain. It will arrive and you will go and install it and be the happiest camper on Earth for that minute and then when you drive it watch out world here I come!! I'm still waiting on my tunes as well but I also know they have been through alot lately so I'm just giving it time enjoying the change that my truck has already gone through. I still can't wait to get the custom tune though don't get me wrong. My truck to ASEMECHANIC and GROOVYCHICK!!

The waiting is over! I got the package and installed it tonight! My last fill up was with 93 octane so I used that tune. Nice improvement, not a head snapping difference at WOT but I really like the difference at 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 throttle.
Friday I should receive (barring any further "Uh-ohs" from UPS) my AF1 3 inch CAI. I am hoping that my first custom tune will be able to really take advantage of the new CAI and my Flowmaster exhaust.

Until then, I will play with all the display settings, gauge choices and try and figure out how to change the tire size. Thanks Bill and Corey for an awesome product and great service!

"Yes dear. I said ...YES DEAR....I will get off the computer and come to bed now . But can I bring the Gryphon owners manual to bed? "

Well, bill and i were finally able to get together last night (he worked with me till almost 10 pm to get everything worked out). he sent me my tunes at like 3:30 am sunday morning, man that guy puts in some crazy hours!!!

well first off, monday night my gryphon wouldnt link up with my computer cause i am running vista, and evidently that whole situation isnt worked out yet. so yesterday i brought my laptop home from work and thought we'd be good to go. got a hold of bill, but my gryphon still wouldnt connect to the pc. bill then did whatever it is that he does to get that worked out. lol. he really knows whats going on! finally got the custom tunes onto the unit, and he said i was good to go. so i went out and hooked everything up, and it threw an error code. called him back and said that it was because my dealer had reflashed my computer. so i had to send him a file that was pulled off the gryphon, so he could find out what the new software was on the truck. called me back about 20 min later with the new tunes ready to go. got it updated and installed, and took it out for a spin.

well, unforutnitely all i had in the tank was 89, so i had to run the 87 performance tune. let me just say that if the 93 tune is noticably better, i cant WAIT to get some 93 into my tank. all i can say is wow. the truck now runs the way that it should from the factory in my humble opinion. by the way, i have a '08 fX4. that 5.4 really came alive with that little box on the dash. when you hit the gas, it just goes. whether starting from a stop sign, or passing someone while going 65. it just goes!! luckily i'm down to about a 1/4 tank, so i think i'll be able to get some 93 into it tonight and really let it eat.

now lastly, i just want to give BIG props to bill!! that guy is a real stand up individual. stayed with me till everything was worked out. really easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with. even though i know he's swamped, he still took sometime to ask me about my truck and how i like it so far. then gave me a big hard time about trading in a 7.3 coal burner on a gas (yea, still a real sore subject with me too......) anyway, thanks bill, it was a real pleasure working with you =))

Can't blame Bill for this one. :o I'm the one who keeps track of orders and puts them on his desk -- generally, in the order they are placed. Josh called with a question yesterday, and I pulled his invoice and put it on Billy's desk. After talking with him, he just assumed that Josh was the next custom tuning customer in line. (This, I figured out after just have quite a loud "discussion" with my husband on the phone.)

My fault, my fault, and in case anyone didn't know it, it's my fault.

Not a problem - thanks for the explanation.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't get lost or anything.

More class!

Darn, a business that admits mistakes and tries to correct them! What a refreshing idea!

Corey, as they say in the land where Janet was born, "Good on you!"

I hope your migrane has eased. I used to get them as a teenager, but not anymore, thankfully!!

You guys are all so funny. I wish we could all meet and hang out some time.

Oh, and I'm the first one to jump up and say, "I made a mistake!" I learned the importance of admitting mistakes while I was teaching. Kids are under the false impression that teachers know everything and don't make mistakes. I quickly corrected THAT notion!

One thing Bill is adamant about is that customers are handled in the same order as their purchases. (Every once in awhile, there is an exception, but that doesn't happen often!)

Thanks for the support, Everyone. Ya'll are AWESOME!
