Hey Alon,
I bought one a couple years ago and it doesn't show horsepower or tranny temp. Do I have to send it back in to scanguage for them to program it?

If you have the ScanGuage II you must program in the code yourself to get horspower, trans temp and some other codes. The hex codes are on their web site. I printed to page and went to my truck to enter the codes. I believe the trans temp readout. But, the horspower readout on my 97 4.6 is all over the place. Not anything I would rely on.

Is yours the scangauge 2 with the old programming or is it the older scangauge that is boxier/amber colored screen. IF it is the scangauge2 with the older programming, you can send it back to scangauge for a reprogram.

Nope mine is a scangauge II. It is a version 3.0 or 3.1 can't remember which. When I go to the more more more screens it just shows version in the upper left corner and default in the lower right.

Alon,
Mine is a 3.01 version which I don't believe supports the xgauge. So my guess is I will have to send it in.

Seems right to me. You can go ahead and give scangauge a call if you want to just make 100% sure, they are very helpful
