Yeppers - My Gryphon!!

After the UPS man decided to ignore my payment confirmation, signature approving him to drop my delivery at my door, and simply giving me another "You weren't home, dumb dumb" note, guess who knocks on my door at 6:00pm! Mr. UPS!
:santa:
I totally feel like Clark Griswold. I got home, saw the stupid second note and called UPS in fury of anger. After they couldn't do anything for me I was pissed off and needed a Tylenol. The UPS guy then came back saying the piece of paper confirming my over the phone payment and approval to leave it on my door fell down and he didn't see it until all his deliveries were done. Thankfully, he decided to return to my house and my present was better that a Jelly Of the Month Club.
So, she's all installed and looks great. I was a little disappointed with how they chose to hide the fact that this is just an Edge. All that was done was the cover was removed and painted black....you can actually still see the Edge logo under the paint. Although thats not really a big deal because when its all installed you can't see it anyway - its only when you look close.
Default programs are just like a stock Edge and now the wait begins for my custom tunes from Bill.

You're not the only one disappointed that our new cases aren't here yet. We are, too!
We are actually having some samples made of an opaque black and a clear -- yes, I said clear -- case. Bill thinks it will look cool, and he's probably right. The new cases won't be in for awhile, but if the case you have is bothering you, we'd be happy to send you a new case (at our expense, of course) in which to enrobe your Gryphon once they arrive. Aesthetically, it will look the same (if you choose black), but then your programmer will be totally Gryphon-fied.
Please understand that we were told that the cases have to be a different color to differentiate between the Evolution and the Gryphon, and we've chosen an automotive-grade flat black paint to do the job. I was wary -- I told my husband that it was going to look cheesy -- but I was really surprised that it doesn't look painted at all. And thank you for pointing out for us that the small Edge logo on the back of the case can't be seen when the unit is placed in the pod --
that WOULD be cheesy if it was visible, and we wouldn't have gone along with it! I was the skeptical one, but after we put it together, I was really excited by the result. Yes, it certainly seems like a lot of BS, but to protect Edge's CARB certification and to remain able to offer custom programming, we are doing what we can to make everyone happy.Bill is working on custom tunes as I write this, so hopefully, many of you will be smiling soon!
Thank everyone, too, for your prayers. They seems to be working. I was even up to take a call from a customer today.

The Edge logo I mentioned is actually not the giant one on the back, but the really small one beside the screen. When you paint over it, you can still see the logo underneath the paint.
Please e-mail me offline at corey@powerhungryperformance.com with your shipping information, and I'll happily send one of our new ones out to you on Monday. BTW, Bill just showed me one of the new ones, and you can't see the original logo at all. It's sitting on my desk with your proverbial name on it, awaiting your e-mail. It'll be on us, of course.

Thanks for understanding. We appreciate it more than you know.
