XcalIII Throwing me into fail safe

Well I got my xcalIII on monday. I plugged it in to run the canned tunes while I am waiting on my tunes and the engine immedietely went into fail safe. I thought maybe it was some of the settings I put on there so I went back through and did just the basic, the only thing I changed was my gear ratio and the fuel octane. Still the same thing. Anyone else had this problem. 05 5.4 Lariat. S&B, cut out, E-fans thats really about it. And this was before the J-mod as well. Any feedback is helpful thanks guys.

Looks like your truck is joining the list of trucks that dont like the X3 canned tunes. Mine was the same! Cant rememmber what code it was throwing! 2106 i think. Anyways i flashed mine back to stock and ran it that way till i got my custom tunes from Troyers. Truck has never throwen a code since even running TP tunes.
Do your self a favour and leave it stock for now and you will enjoy your custom tunes even more when they arrive.

same here

Mine just did the same thing last week. Also threw a code about the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (which I don't have). Called SCT to resolve the issue. A fellow by the name of Michael Rivera sent me a "custom tune" that will not load and he will not return any of my calls. In fact, two other "customer service reps" will not acknowledge that I have a problem. I simply returned to stock and will await my tunes from Troyer.

Welcome to the forum Joe

That sucks but you’ll like the TP custom tunes when you get um; it’s the best mod

My truck did the same thing. Rep told me the canned tunes don't support the S&B intake, wait for your custom tunes.
