The Edge will correct for the tires and gear change ...

Same here when I had the Edge and Xcal2 for my 2006 F150. Most all of Ford's speedometers are set ~2 mph faster from the factory.

It wouldn't be to get warranties to expire sooner would it? Nawww, no car maker would do that!

Only the analog is off. Digitally(PID/DMR), it should be very close.

Just curious - if you install the new wheels, tire, AF1, magnaflow, and edge programmer -- What happens to the warranty?

Depends on the dealer. WTF makes you think you can run the AF1 with the Edge???? That is most likely going to be trouble.

Are you saying the edge can't account for a cold air intake?????
I may be mistaken but I thought if your identified your in and out it could account for it?

No, the Edge can't but Gryphon can. If you got the Gryphon from Bill you are good to go but with the Edge you run a chance of running lean.

It's not a chance, it's going to happen especially with the AF1.

He didn't say if he got the 3.5" or not. If he has the 3" would'nt there be a chance he could use it??? There are a coulple of guys here running an Edge with an intake. Not a chance I'd be willing to do it but it has been done.

Ok - I've heard this said before - but for lack of time to search (I know I'm the devil) - several senior members have said the same Gryphon from Bill - is that a supplier named Bill or a specific person who programs that everyone seems to know?

Just to state the idea is to get a 3.0 AF1 and an exhaust setup - not to worried about the warranty with those two items since I'm keeping the stock MAF - but not sure about the Gryphon???? Has anyone ever experienced this issue? (Even searched for an answer to that one) LOL

Here is Bill's website: http://dygytalworld.ehost-services105.com/php/ but, call him and talk about your needs. I am 100% sure he will not try to "sell" you anything you don't want or need.

Bill is an ASE certified mechanic and a calibration engineer. He knows the Edge/Gryphon inside out.

Finally got the new evolution from Edge under warranty and its works great. My speedo is now correct!

FYI: The old style cable from under the dash to the programmer, will not work with the newer units. You have to use the newer style cable.
