i recently purchased and xcal3 from troyer. I got it with three custom tunes. i havent had the tunes made. I want to sell the xcal3 and buy sniper tuning. How much could i get for the xcal3 with three custom tunes?

 

Oh man ...

Those tunes are made specifically for your truck's PCM. It's not going to work with just anyone else's PCM. The chance that you find someone that wants one with the same PCM calibration is slim and none.

 

obviously you missed my other post.....i havent had the tunes made so with that being said i am wanting to sell and xcal3 with 3 custom tunes from troyer. Pcm doesnt matter at this point cause they havent made the tunes for me.

 

Watch out, they might tell you that today was your lucky day and your tunes are already done depending on how far out you are. Why do you want ST?

why not cancel the order and get your money back? If they have not made the tunes yet you should be able to do that

I suspect he has received the unit with canned tunes (I'm assuming it does come with a canned tune) and he has not yet gotten the custom tunes that are due him.

But, isn't he asking how much for the xcal3 with a gift certificate (sort of) for three custom tunes from Troyer? That's assuming Troyer would honor payment for tunes not yet delivered for a tuner that had been resold.

I agree with 2006M50B though. I'd simply try to return it and get my money back (assuming it has not been used).

Well this is the deal.....I purchased the stage one package from troyer. Along with the package came an xcal3 with three custom tunes. I have read into sniper tuning and like the fact that I can tune both of my trucks with one tuner. I don't have to buy two(even though I already have one). Troyer hasn't even started any of my tunes for the reason that I haven't sent him the strategy. Also if I was to return he will only give me 300 dollars back plus the cost to ship it. All I'm asking guys is how much could I sell this to some one for. If some one was to buy it I would send them the worksheets have them fill it out and send their strategy and worksheets to troyer.

 

You can ask for whatever you want. Whether or not it sells is another question. Anybody could buy one direct from Troyer for around $400 or so, right?. So if I was wanting to get rid of it fast I would say around $325-$350. It just depends on how bad you want to sell it.

 

Ok then if anyone is interested feel free to pm me. I will be posting it in classifieds. Oh and troyers price for it would be 449 plus shipping.

 

Does anyone know if troyer is the ONLY company that marks up on SCT retail prices?

 

Not sure what SCT sells them for, but Troyers price generally includes 3 custom tunes in the sale
