Total gain amounts

What is the total gain that can be achieved with a programmer, exhaust set-up, and intake? Theoretically it can be around 80hp right? 15-20 for the exhaust, 11 or so for the intake, and 30-45 for the programmer. I realize it will be based on whatever combo you choose and the manufacturer you decide to go with but on a 5.4l motor these would be significant gains.

What are some of the gains that ya'll have been able to get?

No, the gains will be around 40-50 rwhp between all three.

Is that really all you would get with a DYNO tune? I know on my 06 stang i ran 68 rwhp with exhaust, intake, and a slightly aggressive tune. Didn't know if it would amount to about the same on the f150. Wouldn't expect that on a stock canned tune.

on the dyno alone i pulled 39/44 just from the tune.. so depending if you have full exhaust including headers.. its possible.. i got 30/37 whp from longtubes

68 rwhp from a tune, exhaust, and intake? Do you happen to have a dyno graph proving this? What kind of exhaust? Just a catback? If that's the case than it didn't gain you any hp. Cat deletes are only good for about 3-5 rwhp and long tubes are worth about 20-25 rwhp. I have to raise the BS flag, unless the car was running full exhaust, since I have a 08 Mustang GT with those mods and a few more and I've seen PLENTY of them on the dyno.

My friend pulled 55whp with a tune alone... but this was on a car that is turbo-charged, and the tunning alowed for more boost pressure (which is likely the largest source for of increased power).

I think a healty 40rwhp could be seen with breathing and tuning upgrades. More important than out right horsepower increase though is the increase in response and power under the curve.

dyno operators can increase numbers by decreasing the load as well- the norm is 245 to 255 rwhp with a custom tune , catback and good cai

Uh Bubba, I wasn't talking to you. I guess you're the one who can't read. I clearly quoted who I was speaking to, 05F150SCrew.

An '06 with a stick runs around 265-270 rwhp stock, so now you're putting down ~335 rwhp with those mods? Even if "exhaust" means longtubes, offroads, and cat-back thats pretty hard to swallow....

Be up to 400+hp before ya know it if ya added a couple of turbonators and a set of curb feelers

Not to nickel and dime it, because I agree with you completely, most stock cars are putting down 260-265 rwhp. I'm still raising the BS flag on this one. It's funny he hasn't been back .. I'm pushing 302 rwhp and 318 rwtq with a 93 octane dyno tune, C&L intake with 88mm maf tube, muffler delete (Since catbacks on these cars don't add squat), CMCV deletes and UDPs.
