Engine Rebuild

I have Troyer Tunes the 91 octane. I have been running them for about 5k miles and have seen no problems and absolutly love the way the truck drives. Both of my brothers, one has a 03 Chevy Tahoe and my other brother has an 01 Harley Davidson F-150 have had to get there engines rebuilt resently. They both had the Superchips stright out of the box, no custom tunes or anything, both had the tunes installed for 10k and 15k. The mechanic that worked on both the cars said that the problems were most likely due to the tunes, so I went back to the stock tune. Should I go back to the 91 octane tune or just stay with the stock? I guess my real question is does anybody with troyer tunes and more than 20k miles with it installed have any problems? Thanks

Chris

I'd be looking for a different mechanic.....lol One of my friends owns a rebuild shop here in my town. I had a hypertech (similar to superchips box programmer) on my 1998 Silverado for over 60k miles. When I had to finally have some engine work done on it (due to a faulty intake manifold gasket) I asked him if the chip had any effects on the life of the motor? He said the there was no way, and that combined with using synthetic oil the engine would have ran another 100k if it wasn't for that faulty intake manifold gasket.
