converter lock-up option on edge
I added that feature mostly to address an issue where a customer wanted to lock the converter a little earlier because he spent a lot of time in a 35 MPH zone and the RPMs would hang a little. He dropped it 2-3 MPH so it would lock at about 32 MPH and now cruises comfortably in the 35 zone.
I know that there are a number of really nice features in the custom options and alot of people feel compelled to play with them, but the fact is that if you are not having any SPECIFIC issue you are trying to resolve then you should probably leave most of them alone. Things like Tire Size, Gears, Speed & Rev limits, and even idle adjustments are useful, but when you start adjusting shifting parameters without fully understanding what you are doing or what you are trying to achieve you may introduce problems. In extreme cases you could possibly even damage the transmission.
My advice? Leave it alone.
