data logging

had some issues last week data logging via livelink, X3 and a laptop. the no load worked fine but when i went to do the load log it wouldnt start. i dont know. so i dont have access to a laptop right now so im trying to datalog via x3 and my desktop. i went to do the load log and it says failed: inlet air temp and pedal position. i changed the inlet to intake air temp thinking there wasnt much difference and that now works. So is there a difference between the two and why wont pedal position work? also i believe tire revs per mile wouldnt work as well, this isnt needed for troyer but i wanted to see what it said. Any thoughts on these? Any thoughts on the laptop? I may have access to it again this weekend so may take a shot deleting livelink and starting all over. Any help?

also what about the wideband A/F recorder? is this really needed for troyer to make corrections or is it only really important with a different intake? also is there somewhere where i can get a cheaper one. the one on TP website is over $400 and i found one on ebay for $100. i really dont have this money lying around for a one time use recorder. ( i want a DA)
