Good luck with this one dude...
If your looking for increased gas mileage I am going to have to say what every programmer you end end up with is going to have to be custom tuned specificially for mileage and you are going to have to drive as such.
Again good luck.

Maybe check with Bill (ASEmechanic)and his new programmer. I bet he can help you out.

If you're looking to only buy a tuner just to get increased gas mileage, don't waste your money. It's going to take forever to recoup the cost of the tuner before you start "making" money on the investment.

Now if you'd like to get some more power plus gas mileage, get a custom tuned Xcal2 with a 93 octane gas mileage tune.

Best chip for gas mileage? The one that turns your F-150 into a F-ocus.

Don't buy a programmer for mileage, buy it for fun, just like every other mod

Well I have the X3 and I just got a tune from VMP Performance (93 octane E10 with Aggressive mileage option) which appears to have improved my milage between 1 to 2 MPG (about 16 mpg now, mixed city and hwy). I have an 04 FX4 5.4 3V with 3.73's, 18" rims, a K&N CAI, efans, and modified dual exhaust with X-pipe. So, this type of tune may perform different in a stock vehicle.

nothing wrong with asking what the tuner adds the most mpg's. many tuners have the benifits of added power and gas milage. many sacrifice mpgs for power. I assume he would not want to sacrifice the mpgs for power. which is how I feel. I would be interested in knowing which tuner gives good power and some notable gas milage increases. from what I have seen arround this site the 93 octane tunes showed the most mpg gains but I am not sure if it was enough gain to offset the price difference.
