Installed Fusion on Evolution II! Damnit!

Bill,

Damnit. I installed the fusion software on my Evolution II EEF2400, Ver. E3.08.08a, Lot# 120529.5, Manuf. Date 12/20/2005. I plugged it into my truck, tried to program level 2, and it hung at "Initializing Communication...". It froze there and I had to unplug. Now all I get is a blank screen. I presume that I need to restore my Evolution using the Lightning Software. I have already downloaded the latest Lightning Software, but when I try to connect my Evolution, I get an error message: "Unable to Determine Evolution Version. The unit may be in Run Mode...".

Please help me get my Evolution back on track. I installed the Fusion software because the Edge site says that my unit will work with it. I guess not. Please, please, please, please help. I have opened the restore evolution option and the seed number is 9696008562. I know the seed number changes every time you open the Restore option. I am not closing it. I'm leaving it where it is. Hopefully, my doing so will help expedite the process for both of us. Thanks.

Stephen

It didn't. I need to restore the software on my Evolution II, but the lightning software can't read it right now.

Call me and we'll get you back on track.

I have talked to Edge about removing the update files for the E3.xx.xx versions from Fusion. They made a change and said it should prevent such catastrophes, but apparently it didn't. I will hassle them about it again on Monday.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I know it's frustrating when it happens, but rest assured it's not too bad to fix. Just a couple minutes.

Take care.

Bill
