VMP dyno tune

I took my truck over to Justin @ VMPtuning.com today. Here are my before and after #'s from his tuning. I have an '06 5.4L 4x4 with OEM 20's. This was no change in octane rating. This is the stock tune against his performance 87 octane tune.

Mods I have:
-AF1 3.5
-ASP pulley's
-18" Magnaflow muffler welded in and cats cut out.

The graph is unreadable. Please make it larger.

When you say stock, I take it you mean without the AF1, Pullies and Exhaust?

No. Stock tune. I went there today and got a baseline, with all the mods listed. Which is in the green. The blue is after his tuning. No other changes to the truck.

Would you please list the stock and dyno HP and torque #'s. You had quite the gains.

Can't tell yet. Ran up to see Justin during a long lunch break. So I haven't had much time to drive it.

On a side note. Everyone says the AF1 3.5" runs lean if you run it stock. As you can see it actually made mine run a tad rich on the stock tune.

excellent numbers, especially for just 87 octane. Your stock torque number is quite impressive as well.

So you were running a 3.5" AF1 intake with the Ford Factory Tune?

I guess so. However, that raises some questions.... There should be no reason for an air intake to cause the A/F to shift to a richer ratio. Unless you were running extremely rich from the factory something is amiss.

Nice, that's insane!!

I just had Justin dyno tune my car yesterday. What do you think of the ASP UDPs? I'm thinking about a set of UDPs but can't decide which brand to go with.

The numbers are good but the curve is crazy looking very shaky

On my 2000 GT I went with the Steeda UDP's and was happy with them and they weren't piggyback style as most others were at the time. Not familiar with the newer UDP's and if you have to piggyback or not? Somebody should be able to chime in on the newer products.

He has the smoothing set at 0. Which is the reason it looks this way. I asked him about it and he said thats how you likes to run them. Without any smoothing. He could change it to look smoother if he wanted.

Thump. I've had BBK and Summits on my past mustangs. I think the ASP are the best, quailty wise. That I've had. I wouldn't go back to any other type.

NCSU. Justin was suprised by the richness also. Almost all aftermarket intakes will lean you out a bit. I can't explain it either. Just glad I got it back to the norm. I was running the 3.5 for about 3 months or so on the factory tune.
