There are a lot of options. First, what is your budget? Second, what are you looking to do? CAI? Exhaust? custom tune or "canned" tune. The more info you can provide, the better help you will get.

Take a good look at Troyer's stage one package; intake, exhuast and 3 custom tunes all in one shot. I did 'em all separately and would have saved $200-$300 doing all via Troyer to begin with.

The one thing to stay away from if want to improve performance is Flowmaster exhuast.

BTW, I just recently saw an '08 Limited on the road, very nice! What is the option package on the Limited?

thanks for the info, all im tryin to accomplish is maybe better mpg and extra HP and torque.Nothing too serious ,thought i could get something out of just a power prog. I dont really have the extra funds for all that other stuff but i need it i guess ill look in that direction. As far as options on the limited, the only real diff. between it and say a lariet are 22 inch wheels ,AWD and 2 tone leather int. and a little plaque that states #.... of #5000. Can be optioned out with lots of things beyond that but you get the idea.

I hear ya..

Go for a Magnaflow or Borla SI/SO cat-back for mpg and torque. If you only want to start out with one mod that would be the way to go. That'll run you about $450-$500. May be able to find a better price by shopping around, but that's the ballpark.

Here's the truth though.. once you start making mods it's damned hard to stop.. LOL

I'm pretty happy with changing the intake, exhuast and getting tunes.. oh, and a bedliner... and now I'm thinking pulleys and e-fans, and wheels..

You get the idea..

It's insidious, yet it all pays off...

I didnt think that anyone had tuning for the 08's yet? As far as exhaust and a CAI there are way to many options! LOL!

The 08 uses the same PPC as the 07, and it is still the same 'concept' since 04.

CAI options suck.
Exhaust options are OK.

Personally I'd go with a custom tuned Xcal3 or Livewire from www.VMPTuning.com. Magnaflow exhaust from www.hottexhaust.com and a S&B CAI because it's a sealed box design which I find more comfort having it in a truck. On a side note, I'm not quite sure if S&B has a CAI out for the 2008s, yet. But I would think they would, same with the Magnaflow exhaust.

The warranty claim will only be denied if the modification you did caused the said part to fail. Just remove the tuner and CAI if you need any major warranty work done. The dealer isn't going to deny a window switch warranty claim because you have a tuner. But if you're motor blows up because of a lean condition, you're going to be up a creek without a paddle.

the stage one is ultimately the way to go but starting out with just the custom tunes would be good too. Out of the 3 mods tuning will be the most noticeable improving the all around drivability
