Well "again" lets review this issue.

He says:
I have it on level 2 with 87 octane =1 timing, it didnt get any louder when i accelerated. it is just one even tone, but my truck has a higher tone that gets higher when i accelerate but it has always had that
What do you mean by "saying it has always had that?"
Have you went back to stock and seen what it does? Have you contacted EDGE if so and asked them about it?

I guess its hard for me to understand the droneing sound when Ive never had it with my Edge with or without my CAI.

I'm not putting up a fight about this, only offering you my advice and knowledge on the matter. I've experienced the drone with the Edge, my truck didn't have it when stock, the CAI magnified the drone GREATLY. The fix was to ditch the Edge programming for custom tuning. No more drone. Yes I did contact Edge, their response was that it was normal, all vehicles with intakes and programmers have a drone. So go figure.

NP and sorry if it seemed I was trying to argue about the issue. I was just
trying to understand the issue and "find" a way to fix his problem. Before jumping ship!

I'm glad you got it fixed. I don't know why gas would cause a humming, though.

On a side note, I did a little research last night and found most of the people with the problems had 04s and 06s. My guess is still in the programming, just some are lucky and some are not.

So, the moral to the story is it WASN'T the edge causing the so called hum after all. Another bogus edge screwed up my truck claim.

Come on, people.

Who knows it may come back, or maybe it was just bad fuel. Which we hope was the issue! All i was saying dont jump to conclusions and be so fast to toss the edge to the side without trouble-shooting first. This case was a good example and were keeping our fingers crossed

maybe theres something made differantly on the 05 models. (shrug)

Why? I can add more common sense in here than there.
