hello i have a 2007 f150 5.4. i got my Xcali3 today and plugged it in to upload the preprogrammed tune. it went all the way to 100% and then said "ATTENTION: Unable to upload stock files". i contacted SCF and they said they dont know whats going on but they took my files off my cp and said they would get back to me. but i was just wonder if anyone else was having this problem, and figured out an answer, or has any suggestions. thanks

 

Check the firmware, needs to be 1.15 for 2007 F150.

 

I had a similar problem so I am going to ask a few questions,
Number one, like I.Ride said, did you update the firmware,
Number two, How were you trying to load the tunes on your truck.

 

my firmware is 1.1.130 and SCT told me that was the most up to date version.
to load the tune i went to program vehicle, install tune, pre-programmed, turned key on, it realized it was the 5.4 f-150, then turned key off, and tried loaded the defult tune on there. i did not try to adjust any of the settings.

ok, now if i have to update to 1.1.150 i can get that off their site right? how exactly would i get that updated version onto the tuner

 

Down load from SCT and then connect your xcal3 mini usb connector to the xcal. Press and hold the cancel key and then plug in the usb connector to your computer. I tried the scroll key but it did not work. You can try it but if it does not work try the cancel key. The screen will light up and be blank. Select update firmware and point it to the file you just downloaded. Your done!

I am assuming you have already in stalled the SCT x3/livewire firmware updater version 1.33.

Select the second option. (X3 Ford Flash Device Firmware) It is version 1.1.126. That is the latest flash/ Firmware update. Also version 1.0.8 is the latest update for the preprogrammed tunes. The 1.33 you have is only the software to update the x3.

 

Ahhh crap the link does not bring you to where i wanted. Oh well go to http://www.sctflash.com/ select support, select downloads & Drivers, select x3 device and it will display the files for the X3.

 

well i successfully updated it to the 1.1.126. and went out and tried it and i still got the same error. "ATTENTION: Failure to upload stock file"...and idears? lol

 

maybe i.ride is right. i might need 1.15. that maybe the only version that works with the 07. sound logical?

 

No you have the latest version. Hmmmmm So it's failing to save your stock PCM file. You may have a problem with your unit. Did you call SCT? If it cant save the stock file it will not upload a preprogrammed tune as it will not be able to return your truck to stock.

I think i would call who ever you bought it from and then call SCT.

 

yea i ordered it from troyer i called them and they said they had no idea but they would look into it. so i called SCT and they took the files off of it and said they would get back to me...that was last thursday. i called today, no answer. so i guess ill just send it back to troyer or maybe SCT and get a new one. my luck...

I'm retarded. 1.15 is for the XCAL2, i must of read your post wrong.

Install the Livewire / X3 Updater Software 1.33

Good luck with that. I got mine and was livid when the X2 wouldn't load. It'll all iron out.

I also own a 2007 5.4 and I just had the same error above (just got the X3 today)

I've updated both firm ware and the Device Tune Revision to the most up to date versions directly from the SCT website.

Before I start making any phone calls. Has anyone found a correction? Specifically 07SportTCOB?
