Ya and my truck seems to have alot better throttle response now at almost any throttle position. Did you notice that too??

Also Phil how do you like those underdrive pullies??? Thinking about getting a set myself.

x2 on the throttle response-no issues with charging or cooling-nuch faster revving engine-phil

myself would change them-remember in closed loop the o2's adjust for the fuel, not the pcm- changed mine solved the issue- at that was with 28k miles-i bet they are getting buildup on the tips and are probably getting lazy-phil
Sorry but thats not quite the case.....the fuel tables are stored in the PCM, the o2's input the air/fuel ratio to the PCM which adjusts the Short and long fuel trims to maintain Stoichiometric Air/fuel ratio. The short fuel trim is constantly driven rich to lean to cause the o2's to "switch" positive to negative around the stoiciometric ratio which in turn updates the long fuel trims. The o2's read the air/fuel ratio and thats it. You are partly correct but just a little off. If you are changing 02's at 30k you may have some other issues such as the engine running too rich. It is not uncommon to see o2's last over 75k without replacement. There is also a code that will set once the o2's do get lazy and do not switch within the predetermined time set by the PCM. Keeping good quality spark plugs in the vehicle will help with pinging issues as well.

Where are you getting the A/F from? The short and long fuel trims are not an accurate indication of actual A/F ratio.

I'm not trying to doubt you BTW, I just see a lot of shade tree engineering here on the forums with without any actual knowledge of how it really works. I'm just trying to help out if I can.

Dude I am by know means even saying anything bad about Troyer and his shop. They are top notch. I'm intrigued though as to how you ate a set of o2 sensors in 30k miles. I've seen premature failures on the o2's before but it is usually just one, or an issue in the wiring. The fuel system goes into OL and OL-Drive under hard acceleration and wide open throttle, which is using a predetermined fuel table. These are also the conditions at which pinging typically occurs.

Are you using the wideband setup they have on their website? I was interested in getting a wideband O2 for my ride after I put the cams in
