Any word on possible Custom tunes for the Edge from Bill??

 

i believe it was in the epa thread? bill mentioned that edge custom tunes are on hold due to epa and carb regulations

Yea he's been doing custom tunes for a while now. I know I need some bad only due to the original ones are not working well with mine at all. I wrote Bill an email the other day before xmas and am waiting for a response at the moment. I had the level 3 stutter you may have read about in here, currently the stutter has got so bad that I think it has damaged my tranny so I am running stock until I get this resolved.

My truck is now stuttering in all 3 levels as well as customized settings. It is so bad that the truck actually jerks very quickly the 1st 15 miles or so until it gets warm for some reason, and the past few days I can still lightly feel it after driving around town for over an hour with a warm tranny.

Today on the way home I ran it in stock and didn't feel it at all. The day I wrote bill it done it in stock as well but was much colder than today outside.
The update he done seemed to fix it for a while but now it's back with revenge. And my dang blamin warranty ran out the 5th of this month, just learned that today when I went to ford to see about getting them to look at it. They ran my VIN and informed me the original purchaser picked it up early in 2005.

 

i need some help with a new evo. i know this thread is about codes but you guys sound like you know what your talking about. i put it in ok and all and started to make adjustments. i turnded down the contrast on the way down. then hit something so i an blind."rookie" i know. any thoughts.

 

I went out to my truck and went thru the steps and wrote them down. So you write them down and follow along and this should get your eyesight back lol.

Turn the key on of caurse.
press the following keys

menu
up arrow x1
enter
enter
down arrow x1
enter
up arrow x1
enter
you are now at the contrast screen
start pressing up arrow multiple times or twice then hold it.
then hit enter once more to save it. ((((which is what got you here in the first place right, lol)))

I dont see why it shouldnt work for you, Im sure your menu is the same as mine as long as your running a new EEF2400 evo edge for the 5.4liter.

 

how costom are we talking. Are we talking "costom tunes for the stock f150 or are we talking costom i want to drop a differnt motor in and use the same pcm costom?

 

how much power gains r we talking here?

Edit: and i was just reading about getting it custom tuned for a CAI+EDGE lean problem?

 

Hmmmm, that is new to the website, I checked it right after the EPA post by bill and the site didnt say that

maybe there is hope for us Edge owners now

CHeck this thread out. ITs another company that is doing " costom" tunes for our trucks with the edge. I went up and down the site when the thread came out and i could only see the 5.4 stated in there. So i was out of luck for my 4.6.

I wish i could talked to someone that went and used one of these companys and could see some results, that would be awsome!
