I have asked people these questions before and no one seems to have an answer for the edge and airaid hitting 1800 or 1900 rpm and sounding like a starved cow. haha Have a great day!
I had the same problem with the S&B and Edge, really bad. The cheapest way would to see if Bill can help. I decided to go with the Xca3 custom tune with my S&B and there is no more drone and everything sounds great. If you dont have any other issues with the Edge see if Bill can help.

It is .5 degree of timing for each unit of octane addition. The canned level 3 is for 91 octane, so you can go up +1 on timing when running 93 octane but that can be adjusted for sealevel. I have run 1.5 with 93 and had no noticable problems.

thanks guys. I am not sure what I am going to do. I am running the edge now without the airaid using bluejay432000 's settings and it acutually runs really well. Not sure I want to invest more money into this. I honestly just got it to save money on gas. It just gets addictive when you feel the power. You want more. haha I have an 04 f150. Can I program it without buying another edge or just put this one on it and buy an xcal3?

Bill will be able to send you a tune for your Edge.

The airaid drones at 1800 rpm stock or with the Edge. I have both and totally agree with you. They are both in a box in my garage, but it is that plastic intake setup, not the Edge tuner that causes it. TP custom tuning got rid of the drone on my trucks but the Edge tuning did not. My 2 cents here, get a 3" AF1 and use that with the Edge. Other than the AF1, I haven't seen any other independent tests for these intakes on an F150 other than bogus manufacturer claims.

I haven't even seen CFM flow ratings of ANY intakes.

Roush claims: This kit also includes a Modular Intake Tube that will wake up even the tamest of engines because it flows up to 400 cfm more air than the factory unit.

I just looked at the at the Airaid and it looks very close to the Rousch intake. I wonder what the chances are that they are the same just re-badged? They are even pretty close in price.

thats kinda what I was thinking. I wasnt going to say it first. They look identical. haha You guys are teaching me a lot here. haha I just got back from another road trip. I ran the edge on 2 and 3. Edge works really well. I never got to experience it with that damn airaid installed. I wander if I couldnt make it into some kind shovel for yard work or maybe a beer bong. haha j/k (I do not drink)
