Got my Superchip from Troyer

I called up Troyer on Tuesday to see which programmer to go with on my '03 SCREW and it looks like the Superchips 1715 fit my needs. Paid extra to get it here in two days. I know there is a pre-set tune that you upload but are any options I should modify (shift points, etc.) when I install this tonight?

As of now I my truck is stock so I won't have to change the gear or tire settings. With the age of the truck and the amount of time the programmer has been on the market if there were any helpful hints I should put into it. Thanks for the quick response.

Hi.

There is a 'tweak' - it's in this thread.

FWIW - if you use the Search function you can pull up many more threads discussing the 1715....

Thanks for the info. I searched "Superchips" instead of 1715.:o

The new search is on but I think found my answer.

Okay, just got back in from installing the tune and I have yet another question. When I went to custom setting in the 87 octane the shift point at 1-2 was set at max then the set point from 2-3 was also set at max. In the threads I have read about switching 2-3 up two notches. Do they mean up 2 from stock? Or did I press a wrong button? Feeling a little foolish. I promise I have common sense. What are these shift points supposed to be set at with this tune?

I do plan on doing a search but I thought I'd ask here to see if someone has the answer off the top of their head.
