After I installed mine, I was getting emails from someone on this site about that mouting kit. However, I already had mine mounted to the underside and at about eye level on my side sun visor. I ran the cabling behind the B-pillar cover on the driver side so I can have my gauage easily just above the road. A quick glace up then back ahead to the road and traffic. Been a good tool to save gas but now that winter filth gas is in the pumps and the temp so much colder my mpg is going down. Avg 15 mpg on the way to work this morning, and I was making some lights. Same scenario back in August and I avg 19 mpg.

The scangauge is a great tool, and as far as accuracy, it is merely a display, the data is from your PCM, and that better be accurate!

I wonder if this will work on my 97 plymouth neon. It's my work car, and could use some gauges for fuel economy. I have a dash hawk, but it doesn't work on my neon. Does anyone know if the scangauge would work.

My Edge looks like the DashHawk. Either way I placed it like the below picture. It fit perfect with the supplied cable. I think the ScanGauge would look nice there too IMO.

I am thinking of painting it the same color as the pillar color. I would love to get the 2 tone look as the dash or maybe leave the LCD border black.

EDIT: Spelin prblems

Hmm I'm thinking of selling my dash hawk, and getting a scangauge II. The dash hawk is great and has a lot of features, which I don't really use. I really like the scangauges fuel features. I wish the dash hawk would be able to do this. The dash hawk has real time fuel economy, but it changes so fast I really think it's useless. Does the scan gauge let u know how many miles until your tank is empty. Or give you a steady MPG read out, one that isn't constantly changing?

The Scanguage will tell you the current mileage, today's mileage, yesterdays mileage and the mileage for the tank, plus miles to empty, gals remaining, fuel flow per hour.

So if you want to be able to control your fuel mileage, get one. You will be amazed at how just a little bit of throttle control can improve your mileage.

How accurate is the scangauge on fuel economy. Can someone comment on who has it. I've read on one forum that you have to keep correcting the fuel economy at every fill up. Of course I trust this forums, so i'm counting on you all hehe.
thanks a head of time

I believe what you are correcting is the size of your tank. I set mine to be 24 gallons and tell the scangauge that I filled it up each time I do. I read in the user manual where there are some adjustments but that didn't seem to apply to me.

Because of all of the varibles associated with a fillup, (i.e. temp, angle, slow vs fast, etc.) you can tell the scanguage exactly how much you put in at the time of fillup. This only helps in calculating the fuel remaining. Most of the time mine is within a couple of tenths.

That's what I was hoping for. The gas gauge in my neon is broke, so was hoping the scangauge would be pretty accurate on letting me know how much fuel remaining. Thanks, going to buy one today. Where's the best place to buy one at.
