The wait offically begins now

This higher volume doesn't help with a quick turn around, but they are more than worth the wait.
I'm trying to understand why such a long wait for the tunes. Unless he has some major tunes to do, it shouldn't be that hard.
The majority of the tunes are for AF1's with a different exhaust...its almost like canned tunes.
All I have to do is take my truck to a performance shop and it will take them 30 minutes to gather the info from my truck and prepare the tune.
Am I missing something?

It sounds like its probably better to just buy the xCal3, do some datalogging, and then send the datalog file to Troyer so he can then do the custom tune.
Does that make sense?

Order XCal and tunes.
Fill out paperwork that gives detailed info about your truck. (This is where the first custom tune comes from)
Wait.
Wait some more.
Get a set of custom tunes in your e-mail.
Install tunes, have a blast.
Take truck to dyno for datalogging.
Send data to TP.
TP revises/tweaks tunes as needed.
Receive updated tunes (if needed).
Come back here and tell everyone who's still waiting on tunes that it's worth the wait

For those of you that have gone to Troyers Dyno day, does everyone get their turn on the Dyno?? How many people usually go? I figure I have to go since I am about 3 hours away. I'd just like to get as much info as I can on this event.

Everyone interested should sign up. Mike told me if he has enough interest he'll schedule one

It's the same kind of tune, he does the same work. Have you ever ordered from VMP Tuning? Spoke to Justin? Tried their tunes? I'd guess that you've answered no to all of these questions. So to sit here and try to say Troyer is the best, is merely speculation at its finest. I won't lie and say I've tried Troyers tunes either because I haven't. I did almost go with them until I couldn't speak to Mike and Anita, I believe, tried to push me into just ordering the tunes. Once again, I'm not bashing Troyer, just speaking of my experience. As for having a higher volume, probably of F150s, but theres real no numbers to go by to make that claim. I'd account it to the fact that here if you mention another tuner, your post is quickly deleted or the thread is shut down. I'm sure my post will probably be deleted too, prove me wrong guys and show that you will let people voice their opinions.

I guess I was more than right if you can't even create a response to my reply.

I will concede that I don't know much about VMP other than what's on their website. But then again, why would I order another set of tunes when I'm more than happy with the ones I've got? However, it seems that VMP is more of a Mustang specialty shop, while TP specializes in F-150s.
As for not being able to speak with Anita or Mike, that's very suspect. Anita answers the phone half the time I call, and it didn't take very much for me to get Mike on the phone. As many other people have stated, once you do get him on the line, he'll talk to you for hours! Now granted, you probably won't be able to get him on the phone right when you call for him, but afterall, he is a very busy man. To expect him to drop everything he's doing to take a phone call is a bit silly (as pointed out in one of the links I posted).
It kinda sounds like you've had issues with TP in the past, or just want to be able to say your VMP tunes are better than TPs. To answer the question of "who's tunes are better?" once and for all we would need to see ALOT of dyno charts on ALOT of different trucks. Only then can you say that one is 'generally' better than the other. I'm sure on any 1 vehicle VMP or TP could have better results. I've posted my dyno charts, as have many other TP customers. I haven't seen any VMP dynos, nor have I looked for any. Perhaps we should start a new thread and see how it goes?
There is a reason TP is so slammed busy and people wait as long as they do for their tunes, and it's not because someone else's tunes are better with a faster turnaround.

edited to add: Initally I didn't reply since you obviously have no interest in getting anything from TP, so I didn't see a point in beating a dead horse. Besides, there's probably nothing I could say that would change your mind. But since you called me out....
