Hi Whitecrystal1,

Actually, you'll get them quicker than that.

The primary reason I have not been coming here every day like I used to is simply to get the backlog taken care of - we have been dong so many big project vehicles and so many tunes that it really set us back some time, but we have the majority of the longer-than-usual backlog knocked out.

Right now with new orders it will be closer to 4 to maybe 5 weeks at most, if not sooner, and within a month or so it will be down to the way it used to be, when we got them out much quicker.

Thanks every so much for your faith in us, and you will be happy with our tuning.

Last - thanks to all of our supporters for hanging in here during my absence from these boards - your support is greatly appreciated!

Hey white, why the change?

I was seriously looking into the Livewire with TP tunes but read about quite a few problems with the Livewire.. basically that it's still in beta and probably shouldn't even be sold as of yet.. well, as of maybe 5 months ago.. So I went Xcal 2 and TP, no regrets here..

Let us know your impressions of the Xcal 3, all the features...

Mostly because of all the problems I read about it. Maybe sometime later, after it's proven that all the bugs are completely worked out, I'll re-think my decision.

Hopefully by then they'll have a better mount for it too. With the size of that thing they should contact Brandmotion and make a pod for it to fit in the center of the dash like what was done with Magellan 760 Roadmate.

Troyer seems to have a lot of empty promises. He said 4-5 weeks.....

You guys would have been better to go with Justin at VMPtuning.

Why does it take 9 weeks to get a tune. This seems like typical bad business practices. They are eager and willing to take your order. But, when it comes to supplying the product they can't seem to deliver in a timely manner. I have also heard of people having problems with them returning calls when they have problems with there tunes. I bet they would return your call if you wanted to buy something.

I bet they are still taking orders from others even though they aren't supplying your needs.

I had no intent in bashing him here with my update. I was told 8-10 weeks when I placed my order with Crystal. It's just I was hoping to have it by now with Mike's comment in my thread here. Maybe he is watching this thread and I'll have it over nighted to me Monday

I sent mine in Nov. 20. I am already thinking it will be the end of Jan before I get mine. I am about 3 hours away from Troyer. If I knew that I could get my tunes quicker by going there, I would. I doubt that it would change anything though. Anyway.....

Here I sit waiting patiently!

You obviously don't know anything about what Troyer Performance does. The reason it takes so long to get your tune is simple, these are custom tunes created from scratch, specific to your vehicle, mods, computer strategy, etc. There is a reason thousands of people (myself included) order from them, they are the best. This higher volume doesn't help with a quick turn around, but they are more than worth the wait.

As for returning calls, take a look at this post, think about it for a while.... https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=312588

With regards to customer service, I had a problem with my tune running too rich and I spoke directly with Mike several times until we got the problem resolved. I couldn't be happier with the service I got. When I finally get around to supercharging my truck, they will be the only ones I trust to do the work.

Look at it however you want. It doesn't take much to think about....very simple. He stated 4-5 weeks. How long has it been now......? you do the math.

He could've taken the couple hours or whatever that he dyno tuned some guys truck to complete the orders he has back logged for over 8 weeks now.

IMO he takes a base tune for that engine and makes minor changes depending on your mods. Thats a canned tune. Nothing to custom about it. Its guessing at best. Just as he guessed and your truck wasn't right. It was rich = bad guess. Now if you put it on a dyno and run it and make adjustments then you have a custom tune for your truck.

Now when you do your supercharger and he goes a little on the other end of guessing and you run lean. New motor and then you'll be the one needing to do a little thinking.

Wow, you're so wrong it's not even worth the time to try to explain it to you. Do some research. n00b
