Maybe on the newer trucks, but not the older one's. I never go back to stock and even if I only change one thing it still takes at least a few minutes to program for whatever reason.

I have never tried to save my settings. Probly cause custom tunes(edge) do not work on my truck. I am tempted to update the Edge, but why F with something that has no problems. Lvl 1,2, and 3 work and I am satisfied with that. Seriously custom tuning with the Edge Cannot be that much different than having it on lvl2 or 3. If you want it custom talk to someone that knows custom tunes...Troyer, VMP, Bama

I was totally unsatisfied with my Edge until I changed shift pressure, shift points and and fuel. Once I changed tires, I have to set that as well. I tried the out of the box settings one time, from then on, I do the "custom" settings. I do occasionally switch between Level 2 and Level 3, but use level 3 most of the time. I have not updated it in the year and a half I have had it, getting close to 30,000 miles on it. I love the thing.

Oh believe me I have been drooling over a new 250 PowerStroke for quite a while. One of those with a lift, big tires, chip, and exhaust and I would be one happy man...but that isn't gonna happen for a while.

I have a 97 4.6l with an Edge Evo. Come to find out the Edge cant remove the speed limiter on my truck. After talking with Edge they said that Ford put the speed limiter files on a part of the PCM where Edge does not want to mess with reprogramming. Does anyone here have any suggestions.

I know on the 2004+ F150 Edge the speed limiter can be removed.

He never asked anything about Troyer. But now while we're at it, so can VMP.

I went to the Troyer and VMP websites. All that I saw was different programmers. Are you guys saying I need to get a different one or did I miss something on their sites?

I was just replying to openclasspro#11's post. But give Edge a call, I don't know about the Edge's for the pre 2004 F150s. I'm sure they can tell you if the Edge will remove the speed limiter. If not than the only way to get rid of it would be to get a new tuner.

I don't know who told you that but that's crap. All EVOs can remove the speed limiter. If doesn't work on a particular application, it's a bug and it needs to be fixed.

PM me your number and I'll give you a shout and get you straightened out. Have your HEX Code handy so I can cross reference the database and see if maybe there is a file missing or something.

Bill
