Xcal 2 or Livewire?

Is it worth the extra money to by the Livewire? I have read alot on this subject of tuners and it seems like alot of people are happy with the xcal but is the Livewire the top of the line when it comes to tuners and is it worth the extra money? Anyone have any experience with the Livewire? thanks for any replys.

To my understanding the live wire has the same tuens that the Xcal2 would have. The only differance is that the live wire lets you have guages mounted on the dash or what not that let you have taht little bit more control cuase youcan see whats going on.

You get the same tunes either way. Livewire lets you monitor virtually any parameter in the pcm and display it. It would have been handy for me with a '98 with a manual transmission, yet no factory tach (Good job Ford) before I bought an aftermarket tach. I'm waffling on buying one to tune another car and be able to monitor any parameters on my two trucks.

No one can tell you if it's worth the money. It depends on what you're going to do with it. Livewire's price looks much better when you consider the aftermarket gauges you wouldn't have to buy and install.

Best of luck.
