hypertech and 97 4.6

Hey they've got a deal right now on hypertech programmers and was considering one till it said they can only change the shift firmness on my year and truck. Is this true? I'm looking for a little more pickup when I lift my truck next month and will need to change gear ratio's, tire size and so on. Can anyone recommend the best tuner for me cause i'd love to go with an xcal2 and custom tunes but don't really want to wait 2-3 months. I'm not trying to build an all out race truck just a nice daily driver. I'm also planning on some other performance mods in the near future, headers, pulleys and fans and such. What do you guys think?

Hypertech programmers are not discussed to much on here and are not very popular. But the edge is the next one other than the xcal2 that i would recomend. I love it and it does add a noticable power gain.

Finalday,

I checked our feature list and the Hypertech Power Programmer 3 for the 97 F150 w/ the 4.6 has a premium fuel tune and like you said can be used to change shift firmness.
