Cylinder cutoff!

Wouldn't it be cool if one of these performance chip companies could create a cylinder cutoff program like Chevy and Dodge for our trucks. Boy I bet sales would hit the roof!

I think it's possible, just alot of electronics and redirecting signals.

Hi.

This was kicked around a couple years ago.

It's more than just electronics - there are mechanical differences in the engines that need to be in place to effectively facilitate this.

IMHO - jury is still out on the overall benefit - in a very heavy truck, with barn-door aero's, that needs lots of torque to just keep moving.
